I know that for Contiki OS on the Commodore 64 there is a filesystem named "PFS" and I have found the header files and all the stuff that relate to PFS in the source tree. However, how does one use this code? I know how to work with the cbm_open command and I know how to use the cfs_open command (both being quite well documented). But how do you pfs_open a file? In Append mode, that is.

I don't know. It was 10+ years since I dabbed around with CC65 but remember quickly abandoning the file library due to bugs / lack of documentation. But things have hopefully improved since then...

Oh, for Commodore devices the file i/o (in cbm.h) does work pretty well, but in pfs they implemented read and write mode for the Commodore disk drives but they didn't implement the append mode which is there in the drive rom and works with the cc65 routines.
