And it's all open source I hope? Can't wait to take a look! I'm sure we can squeeze this baby down to have enough free mem to make it useful.

if it will ever turn into something worth releasing (the whole thing is very useless without network imho), sure, i will release source too. again: we'll see :)

Putting a project like this away and getting back to it at a later date must require some real brain power. "envy"

LUnix makes no sense without a RAM expansion. It would be nice to have MMCR supported (512KB SRAM).

i was dreaming about groepaz little project a bit ..
... Lunix i dont know, have not realy tried it to mutch because it has no rr-net driver and i dont have a rs-232 seriel to my c64 ... I supuse i could bye the seriel ports that i can plug in to ide64 but i'm not sure if that works with Lunix so have not bought it yet. i'm just thinking that it would be nice to run the telnet in one terminal and be able to sort files in the other :D i dont know but i dont remember seeing mkdir mw or copy there the last time so :/ and i dont know how mutch memory that is used when teleting in it as i can not try it ... but a dream is bulitin board on f1 then over to f2 sorting listing files but it would probebly burn upp the c64 .... maby the telnet client doesn't work aswell :P

lunix is just cute i supose Nix shell on c64 list some files check the memory use two terminals ... good enough

Funny! I just remembered this project before falling asleep last night, and thought I was going to check this thread first thing today. Must be 8-bit telepathy :)

didnt work on it for quite some time, hacking vice seemed more interesting recently... =P

here is an rather old preview: hitmen.c02.at/temp/rt65.d64

cbm+s to load a shell, cbm+1..4 for terminals, cbm+c, cbm+z ... look at dir for a bunch of *nix commands which more or less work as expected.

dont expect much, it really cant do anything useful, and crashes at times =)
