I made a new version of the set_ip_config.rb script that lets you pass 'auto' for the MAC and it will create a pseudorandom MAC address starting with 00:80:10

this will be in the next release, if/when there is one, in the meantime you can grab it from https://netboot65.svn.sourceforge.net/s ... _config.rb

Regards

Jonno

Sorry, here's the update:

I shipped the first 20 boards to CCCC on June 8.

The other 80 boards were shipped June 22th.

CCCC has all the production boards. I understand they shipped a batch of them and are readying the rest. I understand the 29 pre-orders should be shipped out soon, if they have not already been delivered.

The boards look very nice:

(The switches are installed by CCCC, as they were much cheaper to source in the US)

Boy. You really dis-like the RR-NET part, huh? Instead of TFE/RR-NET you went with STD/RR-NET printed on the board. :P

This is probably because RR-NET requires inversion of an address bit to work while TFE/STD does not.

Besides, TFE was the original and did set the standard in so many ways that it probably should be called the standard.

:-)

I consider inversion of address lines to be *non*standard. No other meaning was implied.
