I'll upload it soon (I use an Mmc replay so it takes about 10-15 minutes to copy from floppy to D64 :( ), I'm still making changes. Today I modified Guru Term so that it will strip out ANSI escape codes (such as Esc[20h which really garble up the screen) so that non-PETSCII BBSes don't appear too badly:

As well, chr 8 is converted to chr 20 so that DELETE chars appear correctly when you receive them.

You really should get Warpcopy64, you can image a floppy to a D64 on your PC in 22 seconds!

Very cool. Do you have the source, or are you just hacking the binary? Is the 80-column function built-in, or do you need to run a separate program first?

No. I used Supermon to make the modifications.

I usse the 80 column trick discussed earlier in this thread prior to booting the Guru Term mod.

I think I'm satisfied enough with the changes, I'll upload it in a few days.

As promised, I upload my 80 column version of Guru term (called "GURU TERM 80" on the d64 image). To make it work, you'll have to boot the 80 column program from the SD card before loading the 80 column version of GURU TERM.

The program will set up a yellow screen with black text and it will also strip out ANSI escape codes. Regular 80 col telnet BBSes should look pretty good in this program.

Also included is an 80 column version of Gopher.

***EDIT*** I noticed that the D64 I uploaded here didn't have a properly transferred copy of "guru term 80". Here is the correct one. I also crunched this file down and saved 40% of disk space. This will make it load faster.
