Well, my first post here :)

it would be nice to see the user interface

Just added a quick start manual: http://skoe.de/easyflash/index.php?page=easyprog-en

perhaps it can be hacked into doing other things

Most important for myself are two things which are not totally finished yet:

A tool to create multi cartridges: They may contain many small cartridges (non-banked 8k/16k/Ultimax CRTs) and PRG files. When starting this, a browser is shown to select the cartridge or program you want to start.

Another thing is a package of documentation and sample code for programmers. Maybe this can help us to see some productions or ports to easyflash soon?

But maybe somebody has even more ideas when checking the docs or the schematic. Everything is open source, feel free to do it :)

i wonder if it would run with a ethernet cartridge in a cartridge expander like Fotios cartridge expander.

I guess it doesn't, at least not perfectly, because our I/O decoding is very simple.

Where to order and any price info?

Please wait for a while, there may be some news about this topic in a few days or weeks.

Small update:

The (prototype) PCBs arrived at the guy who has the online shop. He built one and it works great. You can see it on the attached image.

It will still take a few weeks, but he will sell the PCBs and parts as soon as his shop is completed. The URL is http://www.for8bits.com.

A complete set of parts including PCB will be about 15 Euros. Parts, PCB and cartridge case will be about 20 Euros. He ships to inside Germany for 3.90 Euros, to Europe for 7.55 Euros and to the rest of the world for 10.60 Euros. This is written on http://www.for8bits.com/agb.php. Currently the texts in the shop are written in German only, this has legal reasons. Because if he does it also in English all tests must be translated and have to be correct. When ordering from outside of Europe it may be a good idea to share the shipping fee :)

Let me mention that I don't get any cent for this, it's a totally free open source project without commercial background from my side. I try to support Nils a bit because I know that he has lots of work with his shop, to make everything legally and so on. And because I'm happy that he sells the parts for my project :)

To see the quality of his work, you can have a look at the instructions: http://www.for8bits.com/efaufbau.htm This is not finished yet. As soon as it is somebody will translate it to English, probably.

I'm definitively interested in getting one of these... looks really promising especially when you take in account provided software.
