From V1.21 on, VICE supports MMC64 emulation. The dump of an MMC64 BIOS is required for that. The attached dump was done by CBM-Hörnchen from Forum-64, thanks!
Notice you will also need an image of a MMC/SD card to emulate MMC64 in VICE.

To create an image of your SD Card, you can use e. g. WinImage or dd.exe . I successfully tried the first one. Check your own VICE 1.21 thread at Lemon 64

If you use dd then specify larger blocksize than the default 512 bytes. This affects especially write speed if you ever want to write image back to card.

Yeah, I saw that advice in that thread. I was hoping however that there was a way for someone who doesn't run Windows to accomplish the task. Alternately, perhaps someone would be willing to send me one of their images to experiment with?

Yes, I (we all) have dd. I thought "dd.exe" referred to something different, something Windowsy. I should have assumed the obvious. Thanks.
