Yes, that is indeed possible. DMA transfer is the native method for data transfer of the REU, which is already implemented. Ideas are welcome to extend the REU functionality beyond 16 MB. Personally, I think 16MB is enough and enthousiasts could program nice features using this extra memory. Expect that in a few months time, I'll make this project open-source ;-)

DMA abilites, 32MB plus an onboard CPU core allows for some powerful scope. For instance, it would be possible to implement a simple task switching environment where state is frozen and DMA copied to cart RAM, swapping between booted environments.

Because the cart also contains the drive state, this could be frozen as well so multi-load games could be swapped out. This would also enable multiple frozen states which would instant load, good for practicing speed-runs. :)

I'm registering here mainly to say that I too am interested in this. I'll try and email the author with some questions.

Zap, my appologies. Yes, many have gotten a confirmation already. I've been pretty busy the last few days, and I'll update the list tomorrow. Don't worry. :)

That seems like a rather system dependent way of embedding videos... I usually don't have any problems viewing avis, but I get nothing but empty space in Firefox 3 on MacOS X 10.5, with Flip4Mac installed. Maybe you could add plain download links to the files for offline viewing?

Works Ok with all the above but replacing Firefox with Safari.

One thing i did notice is when you display this page it starts to download the video even it you dont want to see it.

This might me a previewing feature in the web browser adding to the download bandwidth of this page.

But after you give it time to load all the video it works for me using Firefox v2 and internet explorer.

Links might not look as good but would use less bandwidth once you have seen the video's.

Have Fun Shane

Yeah, it got a bit anoying although it works fine in FF here (but then I'm not running a fruit computer LOL). Changed to ordinary links now. Thanks for feedback :)
