you find a sort-of-working version of SJLOAD - a software fastloader that uses the Jiffy protocol. Handy for people with a C64 without Jiffy kernal but a Jiffy enabled drive and C64DTV users who cannot/do not want to use a Jiffy softkernal with their Jiffy-1541 or SD2IEC.

Very interesting but would there be any way to make this usable with an MMC-Reply type device? so that .D64 images to actual floppy copying can take place using JIFFYDOS fast copy?

SJLOAD does not include fast IECOUT (since that is not needed for LOAD). In any case, AFAICS writing a disk using Jiffy and a 1541 still should take about two minutes since Jiffy IECOUT isn't very fast. Why don't you use the D64 writer plugin (http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=21729)? That's for the MMC64, but in case it doesn't work with the MMCR it can probably be adapted easily. It should be faster than using Jiffy for writing a complete disk.

The D64 write plugins are a bit buggy for the MMC-R. In fact there are only a small handful of plugins that work at all and no one seems to bother with making the adaptations, as you call them, and re-releasing them in to the wild.

SJLOAD 0.96 fixes most obvious bugs. Directory listing, sending drive commands, reading error channel, etc., works now.

Is this loader resident? How is the compatibility with software that loads data during runtime or use their own loaders?

Loader is resident. Source code is included, with dasm you can run it on any address.

Compatibility, less experience. But it should be same as with a Jiffy kernal ...
