Hey guys

The Flyer arrived today. First impressions Nice layout and after looking closely at the finished job, well made!
Connected Ethernet cable, IEC lead, 9vdc and switched on the Flyer, it promptly displayed
<- Flyer - >
1.1.1
then seconds later.
No disks found!
Ok it work's now too read manual and setup the network.
Post two:
The Flyer comes with a CONFIG program that you use too setup the network it's easily found with load"$1",9 then list, you will see "CONFIG" file in device 9 or whatever the Flyer is currently set too, wait changed too device 10 without reseting the C64 and now it's on 10! " Nice you can change the device number without resetting the C64 Smile "
OK load"1:config",10 and run Brings up a configuration menu on your C64.
(N) etwork (A) liases (C) louds (Q) uit entered N
Then my network setting, That could not have been easier well maybe when DHCP is working but i setup everything with static IPs at home anyway.
Now too load disk images.. more on that later need too read manual.
Did the online firmware update v1.1.2 is on the Flyer now. All network devices should update this way.
load “^:*”,7 too update firmware ^ is the up arrow key next to the restore key Smile Thanks Sean.R
First grip!
I think the LEDS are too bright especially the RED and two BLUE ones you can't help but stare at them. I put a piece of white plastic tape over them much better.
Registered at commodoreonline and created a new disk image using the sites disk tools, added some games files too the new image and renamed it games. Now i have a disk image on Commodoreonline all there is too do is save it too the Flyer. So far easy as your ABC.
load"disk:games",7 and got NO AUTH "hmmm".
Fixed that using the CONFIG program that comes with the Flyer, I had not added my username and password from my account on commodoreonline too the cloud one settings on the Flyer.
load"disk:games",7 and got lots of LEDs flashing and Downloading on the display along with a BAR graph letting me know how far into the download it is.
The download of a disk image is slow compared too loading files from a uIEC, but this was too be expected, the LCD display and the flashing LEDs let you know things are going well! 25 seconds later your ready to go. One disk image on the flyer.
load"$",10 and then list ---- there they are.
load"avenger",10 and your lock and loaded.
Sometime later after playing avenger Smile Submit.
Post three:
I wanted too give loading files off my network a go before dinner. So quickly setup an alias for one my domains on the Flyer and downloaded a commodore game file via this command load"a2:loderunner.prg",7 Can drop as many files into the web folder on that domain as i like! However after using the disk image tools and web interface on commodoreonline it makes more sense to use there service.
Enabled and gave DHCP ago, however DHCP did not discover our network settings will try again when the new firmware is released.
This side of the house uses a wifi network bridge that connects too another on the other side that plugs into a 8 port switch connected too the router there are 11 devices working on the network at this moment.
So far the Flyer has proven a robust network device besides DHCP "beta anyway" it has
not given me a ounce of trouble. I hope too install network cable too this side of the house soon.
Shane.
